Jackie Pearce Garrett
Founding Partner / CEO
Jackie is a co-founder of HGVenture. She has worked in, with, and around nonprofits for more than a decade. Her specialties include training, facilitation, team building, partnership and coalition development, proposal management, proposal writing, and business process improvement.
Jackie’s work on training and nonprofit capacity building has touched thousands of nonprofits across the country. She has designed training conferences, e-learning programs, as well as staff development and coaching programs. She has worked intensively one-on-one with boards of a single organization and developed training programs for hundreds of organizations. She is currently a facilitator for UMD’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion, as well as President of the North College Park Citizens Association and a board member of the College Park Community Foundation.
Jackie focuses on identifying and leveraging your strengths to achieve mission. In working with Jackie, you will have a tireless partner in marshaling the resources needed to achieve your goals.
Jackie received a B.A. from the University of Maryland College Park and an MBA from The George Washington University.
Founder / Chief Learning Officer
Tricia is a co-founder of HGVenture. She is the Executive Communication Coach at the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland (UMD). She also works for the UMD Office of Diversity and Inclusion as a facilitator and is a former trainer for the UMD LGBT Equity Center. Tricia’s strong background in the arts as an actor, dancer and producer shapes her style as a coach, facilitator and trainer. Fun, engaging and inclusive, Tricia’s facilitation style is filled with positive energy.
Her experience in advocacy and community building includes serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the College Park Community Foundation, the City of College Park Education Advisory Commission and the UMD President’s Commission on Ethnic and Minority Issues.
Tricia specializes in: one on one coaching, executive communication coaching, diversity training, board and organizational assessments and using those assessments to aid in team building and organizational development.
As a former Miss Virgin Islands and the winner of the Miss Congeniality Award at the 2005 Miss Universe Pageant, she is a proven and accomplished public speaker for large and diverse audiences.
